Dancing with the Daffodils

"For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils." —Wordsworth

First Gold

(Information about my other writing can be found here. Happy reading!)

"Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay." ~Robert Frost (1874-1963)

Maybe, but these from my yard bring me much-needed hope today.
